Ode to a Mask

One day I sat upon a weathered seaside bench.  My friend sat the approved distance beside me, a silhouette with an apricot sky behind her.  As she spoke of memories past, backlit against the glowing sunset, a halo of the fine particles of her breath misted about her, astonishing me.
