Letters between Frostie and Bill

Letters between Frostie and Bill

My podcast Fondly yours… has ended.  You can listen to all 16 episodes here on my website from the podcast tab, or on you podcast app, by searching Fondly yours… (be sure to include the dot, dot, dot.)

That story spanned 1938 to 1944 in the form of exchanged letters, describing the lives of Marguerite (my mother) and Maude, living next door to Will (Bill Hall, my father).

The story ended with Marguerite meeting Bill at Miss Ely’s USO, near Bryn Mawr College where she was a student.  Bill and his RAF friends’ arrival at Miss Ely’s was a matter of complete chance.  He and Marguerite met, and when a few days later they parted, they agreed to write to each other, from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, when the world was at war…and beyond.

It wasn’t until 1947 that Marguerite was able to travel to England to see Bill again, after two and a half years apart (and hundreds of letters).

A few of them will be here for you to read ….soon!
